Judgment
Deliverance. It is favorable to go to the southwest. If there is nowhere to go, returning brings good fortune. If there is somewhere to go, acting early brings good fortune.
Lines
- First line (1): The first six, yin: No blame.
- Second line (2): The second nine, yang: In the hunt, three foxes are caught, and a yellow arrow is obtained. Perseverance brings good fortune.
- Third line (3): The third six, yin: Carrying a burden while riding in a carriage invites robbers. Perseverance brings regret.
- Fourth line (4): The fourth nine, yang: Deliverance from your big toe. Friends come, and this brings sincerity.
- Fifth line (5): The fifth six, yin: The noble person has deliverance. Good fortune. There is sincerity toward the petty people.
- Top line (6): The top six, yin: The duke shoots a falcon on a high wall and captures it. Nothing is unfavorable.
In Practice
Deliverance shows thunder and rain: the storm that has passed, the tension released. It is the hexagram of relief, resolution, and the lifting of a long pressure. The image is of thunder clearing the air and rain washing clean. Its teaching is two-sided: when the difficulty breaks, move swiftly to set things right and return to normal — and once a matter is resolved, let it go. Do not linger over what has been released, and do not reopen what is settled. Deliverance is completed by release, not by revisiting.
In love
A long tension has broken — an argument resolved, a coldness thawed, a wrong forgiven. Move toward reconciliation and warmth now, and do not keep returning to the old wound. The storm has passed; do not carry the rain inside.
In career
A difficult situation is resolving — a crisis ending, a blockage clearing. Act quickly to restore order and put things right, then move on. Once a problem is solved, do not keep relitigating it. Relief is completed by letting go.
In money
A financial strain is easing, and the pressure is lifting. Settle outstanding issues promptly, restore sound order, and do not chase the old problem. The relief is real only if you leave what is resolved behind.
Guidance
When the storm passes, act swiftly to set things right and return to peace. Then let go of what is resolved. Deliverance is finished by release, not by revisiting the storm.
Watch out
Lingering over a resolved difficulty reopens it, and mistaking temporary relief for full deliverance invites the next storm. Resolve, release, and move forward.
